1st August 2025 marks the fourth time MPA Day has been celebrated.This website was launched on 1st August 2025. An auspicious day as it also happened to be Marine Protected Areas Day, celebrated by MPAs around the world. A press release was sent out to various agencies, local newspapers and to all those already involved with the MPA.
